I like food. And although I can appreciate the decadence of all kinds of foods, I have opted for a conscious, vegetarian (mainly vegan) lifestyle. I believe that anyone can make decadent food by just adding fats, butter, and sugar to recipes, thats easy, but to find those who can master delicious food without the extreme use of these things, now those are the TRUE ARTISTS. So this blog is a journey, a journey in the land of yummy, hidden, healthy foods wherever I can find them!

'The Paleo Diet'
Alright. So let's discuss 'The Paleo Diet.' This idea that all of our Paleolithic ancestors ate only animal protein, eggs, and some fruits and vegetables. First off, we humans are NOT carnivores: "Humans have no known anatomical, physiological, or genetic adaptations to meat consumption." If you don't believe me, please do your research. Okay. Now that you know that, also know that there is no such thing as a general 'Paleo Diet' - It is a scientifically unsubstantiated. Our paleolithic ancestors probably ate whatever was regional and seasonal to them - including grains and legumes! YES, we ate CARBS.
If you truly want to eat the way our hunter-gatherer ancestors ate then eat locally-sourced and seasonal grains, legumes, fruits and vegetables. And please stop claiming that we are carnivores. It's simply not true. Oh and please watch the video. It's really good.
